Loneliness Loneliness

   Discussion: Loneliness

Hi Phil: Thanks for posting and I have prayed and will be praying for you. I want you to know that even at 40 years old, it is never too late for God to do something wonderful. Some who started when they were younger picked the wrong mate and it would have been better if they had waited for the right person. I am a great believer that one can pray for his future mate that God will prepare her and also him for one another. The Bible says that if one desires a wife, he desires a good thing. It also says God will give us the desire of our hearts....and that He will not withhold any good thing from us. So I hope you realize that the Lord does not expect you to remain single and if you put Him first, make sure He is Lord and Savior of your life, that He will provide a Godly woman for you. There are many out there looking for a Godly man. Hope deferred does make the heart sick, but faith and hope are two different things. Faith is the actual substance of the thing hoped for. So you have to walk in faith and then trust God that He will act. If not, then all you have is hope and hope deferred will, in fact, make the heart sick. But you have something greater. You have faith. The Bible says, "To each has been given a measure of faith." And a measure is all it takes. Just stand on God's Word and trust Him. The Bible says that if we seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, that He will add all the other things we need. I have experienced this firsthand. I also know what it is like to pray for a godly woman in lonliness whom I never knew or met (after making the wrong choice) and seeing God actually work in the situation, bring someone to me all the way across the sea who turned out to be more than the best wife I could ever want or have. God is good and answers prayers. We just need to keep our eye on Him and not try and take matters into our own hands as the devil would certainly offer and give opportunity. May the Lord bless you.
